My vision as your photographer is to get to know you and your family, give you an experience, laugh a little (or a lot), and allow me to capture you the way I see you, not only through guided posing, but also by just being a fly on the wall, because you and your family are something to be cherished. As your commissioned photographer, I believe that displaying your portraits is important, and I know you have very little time to get to a computer, upload your files, figure out which ones would look best in which location and what sizes, and then finally put them on the wall when they arrive at your doorstep. This is why I take pride in being a full-service studio for you - from planning your dream session to completing quality control when the order comes in and arranging safe delivery of your items to you. It would be an honor to be behind the camera, capturing you, your loved ones, and your experiences. My very favorite sessions are those where I capture emotions and relationships, all while you have a little bit of fun!
I'm a wife and mom first, a photographer second. I know what it is to be a working mom with young children. It's hard to find that perfect balance, and life is just busy; and I understand that first steps and first giggles all too quickly turn into first dances and high school graduations. As a woman, I also know what it's like to not always feel beautiful in front of the camera.
I have lived in the Jacksonville area my entire life. I love the beach, sweet tea, and my family (a husband, daughter, two sons, and two rescue dogs). I take annual trips to Orlando, and besides photography, I enjoy watching some of the latest movies or reading a good book. A few favorite TV shows that you can find on my DVR include Grey's Anatomy, The Blacklist, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, and reruns of Dexter. On my nightstand, you'll find Outlander, Focus on the Good Stuff, and Suzanne's Diary for Nicolas.
I shoot with Nikon D750 and D700 full-frame bodies, and whole arsenal of Nikkor lenses. I started with a Nikon D70s back in 2005. I also am a Member of the PPA (Professional Photographers of America). When you book with me, you're not just getting someone who takes your money, takes your photo, and then you never hear from again. I believe in helping you turn your images into art - either in albums or for your walls, and I believe in building a relationship that will last with you and your family.
