One of the biggest compliments, as a photographer, is when past clients re-book me to capture their life’s special moments. I loved getting to know this family when I did big sister Caroline’s newborn session, and was humbled (and thrilled) when Erin contacted me to book her second daughter’s newborn session. It is especially fun to do sibling newborn sessions because you have a chance to see the similarities and differences in that newborns. Now sweet Natalie. Oh my, is she perfect with squish cheeks and strawberry blond hair. I do not think she could get any sweeter.

Natalie’s session was filled with neutrals which highlighted her gorgeous hair and sweet features. I love working with newborns on neutrals because it makes the focus 100% baby. For Natalie, simple and feminine props completed the look and I love the results.

The little details that make a newborn a newborn. I love these little, precious details. They are gone in the blink of an eye, so capturing them is a priority for me in newborn sessions.

Just before Natalie’s session, we had to have a change of plans, and location, because poor Caroline was sick and couldn’t be around her baby sister. As a result, we had some extended family members were present to help with the session, and we really just had a fantastic time talking and laughing and loving on sweet Natalie. Of course, I had to use this opportunity to take a group picture!

I love watching families grow, and having the privilege of welcoming new members to the family. Natalie is a bundle of joy and perfection!!
