Announcing Newborn “Mini-Sessions” | Including Digital Gallery with Print Release

I’m so excited to announce this option to my visitors that I couldn’t wait any longer! I was originally going to post this along with the 2015 fees and packages, but those aren’t quite ready yet and I’ve got bookings and inquiries lining up for January – March!

I’ve had many requests for a session option that won’t take 3-4 hours long, as well as something that is just all-inclusive of the whole gallery and won’t require an in-person viewing and ordering session. While I LOVE sitting down with my clients and assisting them with decisions and creating an art product, I completely understand the desire to not have that requirement if you just need images to remember this time in your life and aren’t ready to invest in a wall print or album. Enter, the Newborn Mini-Session . . .

newborn only (no siblings or parents)

1 hour, in studio

awake or asleep (as long as baby is happy and content, we’ll take his or her portrait)

1 neutral backdrop with multiple poses

a prop (if time allows and baby is asleep)

a gallery of images for digital download with a print release

$300 + tax

Welcome, Caroline! | Newborn Video Announcement

As a sneak peek of a beautiful session I had in my studio two days ago, I offer you this short video of sweet Caroline (yes, I had the Neil Diamond song in my head the entire morning). She really was sweet though, and so calm even when she was awake. I really could have kept her all day, but her mama and grandma wouldn’t have any of it.

Sweet and Sleepy Miss ‘P’ | Modern Posed Newborn Images

I had THE best time with this family last month meeting their sweet daughter! They booked their newborn session early enough to take advantage of my maternity session special – see sidebar tab under specials – complimentary maternity session with five digital downloads when you book your newborn session. This baby was a sleeper, and she still is! She slept through her entire portrait session, then slept during our Viewing and Ordering Session, and then, she was asleep yet again when I delivered their wall portrait and images to them. No worries if you’re baby isn’t like that, though – most of them aren’t. 🙂 While a good sleeping baby gets us in and out relatively quick, I hate to miss out on an image or two of them awake.

This little girl’s nursery was done in grey walls and white furniture, with pops of yellow and purple accents. Because they mentioned that they would like a print to potentially go in her room, I designed the session with those colors in mind. Custom-designed sessions is part of why scheduling a newborn session early in your third trimester (if not the end of your second) is important. If I need to order any props, sometimes it takes the vendors I use up to 4-6 weeks to knit some items.
