This was an exciting session for me as it represented the end of my portfolio-building phase of my business. My official first paid gig. Someone pinch me, please! Quick!
In the weeks leading up to this day, the weather had been quite rainy. It usually isn’t like that in November, but alas, we were at my last available weekend that I would be able to take images and get them edited and back in the clients’ hands in time for holiday cards. Mom and I had exchanged several texts regarding the weather, and I let them know that we’d do what we could and if I needed to make some changes to my calendar to make sure they got in before Thanksgiving, then I would do it.
Fast forward to Sunday and it had thankfully stayed dry. Mom had decided to go down to Riverside Park, but with only a few hours notice, I was unsure of what I’d find there. I made sure to get there early to scope things out, only to find that a) it was DARK between the trees and the overcast skies, and b) there was a big festival going on that could cause some distractions. We decided to head over to a different park at the last minute and capture these gems. People were EVERYWHERE: walking dogs, playing frisbee, and fishing. I think everyone was just happy to have a break in the rain, but it sure did make for some crazy photoshopping for me.
The {C} Family was so casual and laid-back, and I loved how mom and dad just adored these boys; and even more so how big brother was just amazing with his younger brother. Thank you {C} family for allowing me the honor of capturing your family for you 🙂 I appreciate your trust. I wish you the happiest of holidays and the best 2014 you could ask for!
