Allow me to introduce myself (or reintroduce myself to those that have been here for a while). I’m April and I am a portrait photographer based out of Jacksonville, FL. I primarily shoot out of my home studio, which has been really difficult since covid hit and my husband now also works from home full time. A super random but very obvious fact about me is that I am a native Floridian born and raised here in Jacksonville - well, technically Orange Park! I’m currently in my family room loving the smell of my Sweater Weather candle from Bath and Body Works, the sight of a beautiful bright sky, and the sound of laundry washing. This morning, I was so grateful for my delicious chicken minis (though I wish I had this apple pie around) and the feel of 78 degree weather allowing me to wear sandals today. I have struggled to show myself the same grace I show others when they make mistakes, but am working every day to turn things around. Lately, I really remind myself to be perfectly imperfect.
