This was my first year photographing sessions out at the flower fields. I learned of them last year, but had really just began to play with the idea of a business at that point in time. When I took that trip to find them, I didn’t have anyone with me, so I couldn’t even do some test shots . . . and then they were gone. For flowers that only bloom for 2-3 weeks out of the year, and often times in the middle of rainy season, it’s a long wait to get out there each year. It doesn’t help that they’re about an hour away from Jacksonville, either.
I so appreciate the trust that these two families put in me to capture their family at a location which is really only a once-a-year chance to have photos taken at. They’ve been so great to work with, and amazingly have already made their selections for prints, and they’re already on the way to the lab. Thanks so much, R and B families . . . I hope to see you again to capture some more family memories in the future.
For those families who missed out on these sessions this year, the flowers are pretty much gone now. I will likely hold these again next spring, but they won’t be at such a discounted rate. I would still LOVE to capture your children and your family. Please use the lower tab to the left side of the website page to sign up for my newsletter. I send one out about once every two to three months just to keep you updated on what’s happening – nothing spammy. I know some of you aren’t on Facebook, and others don’t remember to head to their photographer’s website until it may be too late to book in the time frame you’re hoping for, so this is how I love to keep in touch with those who want to stay in-the-know. Thanks for stopping by, and just a head’s up for sticking with the post until the end, if you’re upset you missed these flower field sessions, there will be more minis this summer – at the beach! More information to come 🙂
